PenBay Media is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Traffic Control Instructor II to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and lab-based training to a diverse range of students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for air traffic controllers and certified professional controllers.
- Design and implement curriculum for classroom and simulator laboratory training.
- Mentor students and other instructors to ensure consistent high-quality training.
- Collaborate with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel to ensure training meets local needs and is of consistent high quality.
- Minimum of five (5) years recent experience working as a Certified Professional Controller in an FAA air traffic control facility.
- Experience must have been at a like-type and like or higher-level facility.
- Prior (or current) On-the-Job Training Instructor (OJTI) certification coupled with at least 3+ years' experience in that role.
- Operational experience with ATC simulators, including scenario design and pseudo/remote pilot operations.
- Curriculum design and development experience is desired.
- ATC "Area Knowledge" and experience at the specific local facility level is desired.
- A positive work environment emphasizing teamwork, responsibility, open communication, and creative problem solving.
