Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development is a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies that support the mission and goals of Rutland Regional Medical Center. This role requires a strong understanding of human resources operations, labor laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide strategic guidance on human resources matters to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Lead the development and implementation of organizational development initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Manage the human resources budget and ensure effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to ensure optimal relationships and lines of communication are maintained.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Provide expert advice on labor issues and negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
- Ensure compliance with EEOC laws and regulations, federal and state employment laws, immigration requirements, and ADA requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in business administration, human resources management, or related field.
- 10 years of healthcare human resource management experience, to include 5 years at a Director level.
- Professional certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to work in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication, and customer service skills.
- High degree of emotional intelligence.
- Expert-level knowledge of human resources operations.
- Excellent professional presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with and engage all levels of management and individuals from all levels of socio-economic backgrounds.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively work with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
- Working knowledge of all HR functional areas.
- Knowledgeable regarding budget development.
- Expert knowledge of labor relations and a proven track record in rendering expert, consultative advice on labor issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
Pay Range = $104,000 - $166,000
