Position Overview...
We are in search of a skilled engineer to spearhead the Architecting, Engineering, Integration, Configuration, Operation, Administration, and Maintenance efforts.
In this capacity, you will confront engaging challenges that require advanced root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and superior technical support skills. You will be pivotal in detection and optimization efforts.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the infrastructure framework, performing essential system health assessments, providing status updates, and conducting security monitoring and analysis. You will also manage audit log aggregation routing and reduction, ensuring the health status and metric monitoring of High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. Additionally, you will play a vital role in shaping and upholding compliance frameworks.

This role transcends mere technical expertise; it emphasizes collaboration and innovation. You will work closely with clients and key stakeholders, offering guidance on multifaceted strategies and developing effective use cases. Your knowledge will be crucial in directing Systems Engineering technical considerations and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Conduct systems engineering and software development across multiple large enterprise server environments.
  • Provide technical leadership in software engineering methodologies and automated support tools.
  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for operational activities.
  • Develop necessary program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Perform technical evaluations and analyses.
  • Assist the client in the development and maintenance of systems baseline.
  • Evaluate server loads and collaborate with technical leads to formulate tuning recommendations.
  • Deliver exceptional Linux Administration support.
  • Provide operational pager/phone duty support.
  • Execute daily operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage operating system software updates, upgrades, and patches.
Qualifications...
  • Proficiency in Linux, including Red Hat and its derivatives (CentOS, RHEL, RockyOS).
  • Experience in shell scripting and adeptness with the Linux command line.
  • Proven experience in providing Linux Administration support.
  • Experience in delivering engineering infrastructure support.
  • A minimum of eleven (11) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, and PHP.
  • Experience with configuration management software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet Manifests, and Foreman).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, including PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS.
