Key Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Lead HPC Systems Architect to support the government in managing a significant High Performance Computing (HPC) initiative. This project is at the forefront of technology and encompasses various aspects such as HPC evaluation and implementation, system architecture development, and collaboration with vendors. The technical domains of this program include commercial cloud solutions, high performance computing, and enterprise system architecture. This initiative is crucial for the national security of the United States, and the Architect will play a vital role in ensuring the government meets its strategic objectives for this prominent program.

The Lead Architect will offer technical guidance for the design, engineering, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems. Responsibilities include:
  • Gathering and analyzing requirements, conducting system requirements reviews, and developing operational concepts and interface standards.
  • Creating system architectures and performing both technical and non-technical assessments and management.
  • Conducting comprehensive flow analysis from end to end.

Required Qualifications
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • A High School Diploma or GED with nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience, OR
    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering Field or related discipline with fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience, OR
    • A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant Engineering Field or related discipline with thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Experience in one of the following areas is essential:
    • Extensive experience in high performance computing sufficient to evaluate HPC system performance, OR
    • Experience in migrating applications to cloud environments.
Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
