Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all equipment related to our dairy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all equipment used in our dairy operation. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Utilize fabrication skills to design and construct equipment modifications or improvements. Perform welding, machining, and other fabrication tasks as necessary. Repair and refurbish equipment components to extend their lifespan and efficiency.
  • Shop Management: Oversee the maintenance shop, ensuring it is well-organized and equipped with the necessary tools and supplies. Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, and reorder as needed to minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules. Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding maintenance priorities, progress, and challenges.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a dairy or agricultural setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to equipment maintenance and operation.
