Job Overview

The Automated Welding Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the electro-mechanical upkeep and configuration of all automated welding and assembly machinery within the facility. This includes a focus on Robotics, PLC systems, Weld Controls, Weld Guns, Fixtures, Sensors, Vision systems, and pneumatic components. Compensation starts at $33.90 per hour, with additional pay for shift work and overtime beyond 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical repairs on all automated welding machinery and robotics.
  • Adjust weld fixture setups to enhance or rectify welds and component positioning according to design specifications.
  • Assist Production Supervisors and Weld Technicians as needed.
  • Maintain and validate preventive maintenance records for welding equipment.
  • Optimize the performance of welding consumables.
  • Support the Plant Quality System.
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of Environmental Quality Systems.
  • Engage in the commissioning of new welding equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and machine repairs.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Perform Spot Welding and MIG Welding tasks.
  • Utilize robotics effectively in welding processes.
Qualifications
  • Community College Diploma in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, Machine Repair, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a welding manufacturing environment as a machine repair technician.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to adhere to guidelines and protocols.
  • A highly motivated, service-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for challenges and new initiatives is essential.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
