Job Summary

Maintain a high standard of overall store appearance and cleanliness, ensuring a positive customer experience. Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers in finding products and resolving issues. Perform various cleaning tasks, including trash collection, floor maintenance, and equipment movement. Deep clean high-traffic areas and maintain a safe environment for customers and staff. Collaborate with the team to achieve store goals and maintain a positive, respectful work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including moving equipment and products as needed.
  • Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean key areas, including bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly, notifying supervisors of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
  • Complete all assigned tasks by supervisors.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Maintain positive interactions with team members and customers, adhering to company values.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of rewards programs and private label credit cards, completing enrollments as needed.
  • Assist with omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Work Environment
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work.
