Project Insights: We create robust software solutions leveraging our well-established open-source frameworks such as VTK, ITK, 3D Slicer, Pulse, iMSTK, CMake, and ParaView. These platforms are mature, supported, documented, and rigorously tested software systems utilized by countless developers and end-users globally. Our commercial initiatives focus on delivering solutions for medical device manufacturers, ranging from ultrasound and preclinical imaging to surgical device companies. Our research endeavors involve partnerships with leading research institutions, including prestigious universities and medical centers, building upon our open-source platforms. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance medical data analysis and visualization software applications across diverse computing environments, including but not limited to Windows, Unix, macOS, mobile, and web platforms.
  • Create GUI layouts and interactive components.
  • Collaborate with commercial clients for application testing and validation.
  • Produce necessary documentation for user support and regulatory compliance.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline with a focus on user application development.
  • Exceptional proficiency in C++, Python, Objective-C, Swift, and/or Kotlin.
  • A strong ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
  • A genuine passion for software development, client engagement, and user experience.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of GUI development using modern UI layout systems, such as Qt/QML, Xcode/UIKit, WinForms, WPF, or other markup-based technologies.
  • Creative skills in GUI design, human-computer interaction, aesthetic strategies, and user experience enhancement.
  • Familiarity with Medical Imaging and DICOM standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with client/server architectures, distributed systems, and common communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of medical software development processes, including IEC 62304, and software quality assurance standards such as ISO 13485.
  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with our open-source toolkits and applications for medical image analysis and visualization, such as ITK, VTK, and 3D Slicer.
  • Interest or experience in 3D rendering APIs (OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, etc.).
