Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UNC Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Prepare for and assist the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform patient assessments and provide patient care.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of examination and assess the quality of radiographic images.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • No prior experience required.
  • Knowledgeable of radiation protection and safety in addition to general and electrical safety, infection control, TB and standard precautions.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
