Job Title: Human Resource Manager

At Cabarrus Community Health Centers, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Human Resources Department and ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Human Resources Department to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and HRSA regulations.
  • Work with HR Coordinator and hiring managers to identify and recruit potential employees to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Develop and implement workforce well-being programs to eliminate staff burnout.
  • Respond and represent the organization during unemployment or labor claims.
  • Lead and coordinate all employee grievances.
  • Carry out disciplinary actions for employees who violate organization policies.
  • Develop and implement policies that are legally compliant and approved by the Board.
  • Assist CEO and Legal Counsel with provider-related contract management and coordinate contract renews for all providers timely.
  • Ensure all prospective candidates are appropriately credentialed and that background checks and drug screens are performed prior to hiring.
  • Ensure that all policies and practices adhere to Federal, state laws, and HRSA requirements.
  • Coach and counsel managers and supervisors on handling difficult employee relations issues, interpreting and understanding CRCHC policies and practices, and improving employee productivity.
  • Work with the CEO and other executive staff members to address strategic people management challenges for the Health Center.
  • Ensure that performance management is implemented throughout the Health Center.
  • Train managers on progressive discipline and implement the approach throughout the Health Center to address less than expected performance and behavior issues.
  • Monitor employee leave programs to ensure policy adherence and that employees return to work as soon as they are able.
  • Ensure department manages, organizes, and maintains personnel records in compliance with Federal and state statues.
  • Keep up to date on employment law, regulation, and legislative changes, and human resource matters that impact the people management aspects of the Health Center.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business or Human Resources management desired.
  • At least five (5) years of managerial experience, preferably in health care, health center, or related field.
  • Society of Human Resource Management Certification (SHRM) required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills are required and must effectively interact with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent Critical Thinking and administrative skills to be able to multi-task and follow up on multiple projects.
  • Being a team player who has experience and is comfortable presenting to and interacting with members of the Board are critical for the position.
