We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. As a key member of our Consumer Lending division, you will play a critical role in originating residential 1st mortgage loans for outside referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral contacts, including realtors, builders, and professional networks.
  • Stay up-to-date on Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, as well as available loan products and processing guidelines.
  • Utilize technology to communicate with branches and applicants, and to access daily rates, credit reports, and loan information.
  • Collect and deliver loan packages in a timely manner, and manage pipelines for originated loans through closing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, while meeting sales and cross-selling objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines, residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
  • Understanding of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Basic sales technique skills and a strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
