We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for MRI examinations, explaining procedures in a clear and concise manner to alleviate anxiety.
- Position patients on the examination table for optimal testing procedures and conditions.
- Set up equipment to administer MRI procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform MRI procedures as prescribed by ordering physicians, obtaining high-quality images of anatomical areas of interest.
- Monitor patient condition during examinations, recognizing and reporting any abnormal changes.
- Process imaging data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient information.
- Perform minor repairs and calibration checks on MRI equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior MRI experience preferred.
