CHAS Health is dedicated to enhancing the health of the communities we serve by increasing access to quality health and wellness services. The Administrative Support Specialist plays a vital role in achieving this mission by providing essential administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service as the primary contact for the department.
- Efficiently organize and input large volumes of information into the appropriate systems.
- Handle administrative duties such as preparing and distributing meeting materials, scheduling meetings, and documenting meeting minutes.
- Maintain organized files of correspondence and other records.
- Make copies of documents as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and security of the surrounding work area.
- Uphold confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Perform additional tasks as required by departmental needs, including answering phones, mailing statements, managing calendars, arranging travel, and processing payments.
- Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in computer applications is required. Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent telephone etiquette, are essential. Exceptional customer service, time management, and multitasking abilities are necessary. A valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle are required.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires standing, sitting, and mobility for one-third to two-thirds of the time. Frequent use of hands for tasks such as typing and handling materials is necessary. Occasional lifting of up to 25-40 pounds may be required, with rare instances of lifting over 41 pounds.
