Biomedical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment, water treatment systems, and physical plant facilities to ensure patient safety and staff operating equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures, manufacturer's documentation, industry standards, and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and Maintenance: Perform and/or oversee timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, test equipment, and the physical plant as required and recommended by the manufacturer and established company policy and procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Perform monthly Technical CQI/QAI duties, analyze, assemble, and assimilate information and data for the CQI/QAI process, lead technical discussions, report outcomes, and create and implement improvement plans.
- Medical Supply Inventory: Manage the Program's Medical Supply Inventory by managing par values, ensuring the program has the correct inventory to support patient treatments, performing physical inventory counts, and generating a physical inventory report.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate or Bachelor Degree in electronics/biomedical technology, or equivalent a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years as a Biomedical Technician level I with successful completion of all required training, education curriculum, and practicum, or 2+ years' directly related experience working in an industrial/medical technical setting.
- Skills: Manual dexterity, strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in computer skills, and ability to work a flexible schedule.
