Job Title: Vehicle Condition Assessor

At CarMax, we're committed to providing an exceptional customer experience. As a Vehicle Condition Assessor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive accurate and transparent information about their vehicle's condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments, collecting and recording essential information about the vehicle's cosmetic and mechanical condition.
  • Accurately option vehicles during assessments and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Perform high-quality imaging of vehicles for CarMax websites.
  • Verify appraisal entry information for discrepancies and complete vehicle secures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless transactions.
  • Assist the Merchandising Department with inventory management and customer transfers.
  • Participate in the preparation and operation of the wholesale auction.
  • Collaborate with Inventory and Sales Departments to enhance lot merchandising.
Requirements:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and work collaboratively with other departments to create iconic customer experiences.
  • Ability to follow detailed processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily works in an outdoor environment, with occasional exposure to inclement weather.
  • May be required to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
