Orthopedic Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Orthopedic Associates. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in our Centerville location and other offices as needed.
Our team is dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art, individualized care to patients with a range of orthopedic conditions. We are committed to enhancing the lives of our patients through compassionate and innovative care.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the healthcare industry, a strong understanding of patient care principles, and excellent communication skills. A CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is preferred.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing patient care in clinic settings, including bracing and stitch removal
- Removing casts, braces, and sutures/staples
- Preparing rooms for patient visits and ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available
- Performing vital signs and reporting abnormalities to assigned MA, PA, or physician
- Scribing HPI (History of present illness) and verifying allergies, medications, past medical history, and past surgeries
