Job Description

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a team of AP clerks in driving execution, collaboration, and process improvement within our finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of accounts payable clerks with responsibility for analyzing and verifying invoices and other billing documents from vendors to ensure accuracy and appropriate three-way matching.
  • Leverage technology, including automation, to drive operational efficiency and effectively manage working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to the payment of vendor invoices, including appropriate segregation of duties and adherence to authorized approval thresholds.
  • Track payment schedules through effective management of accounts payable processing worldwide, coordinating with cross-functional partners to ensure the company stays current on all vendor payment deadlines to prevent missed payments or late fees.
  • Develop and maintain efficient operational procedures applied consistently across the team.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with various internal teams, including Procurement, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.
  • Provide excellent cross-functional support and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain and communicate individual and team performance standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related experience.
  • 2-4 years' experience within a fast-paced setting, ideally with global/international exposure and in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience with financial management systems (e.g. PeopleSoft).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain an effective team.
  • Experience in building strong internal and external business partner relationships.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Thrive in stressful situations and maintain calm under pressure.
