Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Residence Inn Baton Rouge - PAH Management. As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight of F & B Operations, ensuring that all aspects of food and beverage service are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure Safety Compliance in all areas, including regular inspections and audits to ensure that all safety protocols are being followed.
  • Reservations Operations: Oversee Hotel reservations operations, ensuring that all reservations are accurately processed and that guests are satisfied with their stay.
  • M.O.D. Coverage: Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled, ensuring that all aspects of hotel operations are being covered during peak periods.
  • Training and Development: Ensure that training in service standards is taking place in each department, using the steps to effective training according to PAH Management Standards.
  • Team Development: Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the guest, through associate development and motivation.
  • Financial Management: Ensure complete processing of invoices daily by using the A/P process, and ensure that all appropriate information for financial documents is received by the Corporate Office monthly, in compliance with the monthly accounting calendar.
  • Physical Property Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with department managers.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that associates are always attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient in their interactions with guests, management and all other associates.
  • Financial Forecasting: Each month forecast the hotel's financial position by estimating revenues and line-by-line expenses, and analyze previous and projected data to generate an accurate Reforecast.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as requested by the Regional Director of Operations, General Manager.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: At least 3-5 years' progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 4 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner, and be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
  • Long Hours: Long hours sometimes required.
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have valid driver's license for the applicable state.
