Job Overview

Flexjet is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will analyze the functionality of applications, design automated tests, and validate their performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, design, and implement test automation frameworks for a continuous integration and execution model.
  • Create and design the testing approach (Unit, Functional, Integration, System, User).
  • Develop automation tests by analyzing user stories, acceptance criteria, creating initial test designs, writing scripts, installing automation testing protocols, and reporting results.
  • Develop a repeatable process for designing, developing, and executing scripts.
  • Conduct tests, document, and analyze test results, and present findings to development teams.
  • Prepare reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out.
  • Participate in project meetings, including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders within an agile software development process.
Requirements
  • Understanding and knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
  • Understanding of test cases and negative, positive, and regression testing.
  • Understanding of automation testing and experience writing automation tests for REST APIs.
  • Experience with writing automation tests using one or more of the following: Postman, Playwright, SpecFlow, Selenium, Appium, etc.
  • Extremely proficient in one or more development languages (i.e. C#, Java, Python, Ruby, Gherkin, etc.).
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for manual, automation, and load testing.
  • Experience with deployments and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience gathering, refining, and validating business/technical requirements, interdependencies, cross-functional dependencies, and risks/issues.
  • Knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
  • Experience with system/platform integrations and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Shows initiative and is motivated to learn.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written); ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and consultative skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and committed to a high level of accuracy and quality.
