Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Bunzl Processor Division is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with business owners and key decision makers, and driving sales growth through effective communication and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer customer inquiries and provide product information, credit terms, and delivery terms
  • Compile and maintain resource files on product information to quickly service customers
  • Respond to inbound calls to take orders and/or generate sales leads
  • Make outbound calls to new or established customers to introduce new products and increase sales
  • Identify and close sales opportunities with customers
  • Actively manage assigned accounts to ensure growth and excellent customer service
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with products, invoicing, and/or deliveries by working with other departments, outside agencies, and the customer

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years related experience in a sales service environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a distribution environment preferred
  • Articulate and able to adapt to all types of situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and take on additional responsibilities and special projects as needed
  • Ability to cross-train in the functions of other departments to handle problems and/or situations quickly and efficiently
  • Outstanding analytical, organization, and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have a positive team-oriented attitude
