We are seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at the Alaska Heart Institute. As a key member of our clinic support services, you will be responsible for providing top-notch phone support to patients, doctors, and hospitals.

About the Role

This is a nonexempt position that requires answering all incoming calls and directing calls to the proper department or personnel.

Salary: $23-$28/hour (dependent upon experience)

Responsibilities
  1. Answer all calls in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Determine the need of the caller and connect call to the correct person or extension.
  3. Respond to emergency calls from doctors, hospitals, and patients in accordance with established procedures/protocols.
  4. Retrieve and deliver messages received by our after-hours voice mail system.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
  • One-year experience on a switchboard preferred in a healthcare setting, or minimum customer service experience and knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
