Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Alaska Heart Institute. As a key member of our Business Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of insurance claims.

In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to work with various payers, including Medicare, TriWest, and other third-party providers. Your expertise in medical billing guidelines and regulations will be essential in resolving disputes and ensuring compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to interact effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Process and track insurance claims for assigned alpha splits
  • Work with payers to resolve claim disputes and ensure timely payment
  • Stay up-to-date with coding and billing guidelines for all payers
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals
