About the Role

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our development and communications efforts. As Vice President of Development and Strategic Partnerships, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission of providing affordable housing to low-income families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to drive revenue growth and support our mission.
  • Manage a portfolio of high net worth donors and prospects, cultivating relationships and securing major gifts.
  • Create and oversee the creation of all communications and marketing materials, including social media, newsletters, fundraising materials, and grant proposals.
  • Lead a team of development professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage a robust and growing grant portfolio, including research, communication with potential grantors, proposal development, and timely reporting and tracking of all funded grants.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Fearless and creative fundraiser with at least 5 years' experience and a proven track record in a full range of fundraising, including major gifts, annual fund, sponsorships, grants, special events, and planned giving.
  • Experience in fundraising for special/capital campaigns preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to engage a wide range of donors and key stakeholders to build long-term relationships.
  • Goal and detail oriented with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Able to construct, articulate, implement, and manage annual plans and budgets.
