Job Summary

This position plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the UAG School of Medicine by assisting with the recruitment of future students and advising students to enroll in the International Program, aligning with the school's mission goals and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the expansion of the business and new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determining their eligibility to apply and enroll in UAG programs.
  • Market and promote the UAG School of Medicine to both traditional and non-traditional students, highlighting the benefits of the International Program.
  • Advise prospective students on all aspects of the admissions process, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Engage with college students and pre-med advisors throughout the US to explain the program's unique features and benefits.
  • Participate in graduate fairs, college visits, and special events to showcase the program's excellence and appeal to potential students.
  • Collaborate with the Recruitment/Marketing Director to develop measurable recruiting objectives and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain a recruiting database and follow up with potential students through various channels.
  • Act as a liaison between the UAG School of Medicine and pre-med advisors and associations, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
  • Provide academic advisement to potential students, helping them make informed decisions about their educational path.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on activities and future plans, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • May plan, coordinate, and organize student information sessions and webinars to facilitate engagement and communication.
  • Work closely with the Promotions Director/Marketing and Vice President of International Affairs to identify recruitment markets and students, and develop effective communication processes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the student experience and improve recruitment outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and records, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong team relationships by working collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree/Bachelor's Degree highly preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques, customer service, and interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Ability to make public presentations and interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and good judgment are essential.
  • Effective time management skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to plan and prioritize daily activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and critical thinking.

Work Environment

This role requires work in a typical interior/office work environment, with occasional physical effort required. Extensive travel is necessary, including evening, overnight, and weekend trips.
