Position Overview

The Chief Educational Officer is responsible for spearheading and overseeing the strategic planning, execution, assessment, and enhancement of educational programs for all students within the community. This role involves the effective utilization of resources allocated by the governing education body and the local educational community.

In addition, the Chief Educational Officer serves as the executive representative of the school governance body, ensuring that the council receives appropriate and comprehensive guidance on educational and related matters, that the council's resolutions are enacted, and that sufficient support and resources are available for the effective conduct of council meetings.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Educational Officer is accountable for the comprehensive management and advancement of the school in alignment with state regulations and governmental policies. A distinct set of responsibilities, which differentiate their role from other members of the educational community, is detailed in the employment contract.

The primary responsibilities of the Chief Educational Officer include:

Guaranteeing the provision of a thorough educational program for all students. Acting as the executive representative of the school governance body. Establishing and overseeing financial management systems in compliance with the governing education body and school council standards. Representing the governing education body within the school and the broader community. Executing the decisions made by the school governance body. Contributing to broader system initiatives, including policy formulation and strategic development. Managing and integrating the resources available to the educational institution. Actively engaging staff, students, and the community in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of school policies, programs, and operations. Reporting to the governing education body, school community, parents, and students regarding the accomplishments of the school and individual students as necessary.
