Key Responsibilities of a Plumbing & HVAC Sales Associate:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customer orders at the City Desk.
  • Assist customers professionally with inquiries regarding products.
  • Accurately process orders in a timely manner.
  • Generate and follow up on customer quotations.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to resolve customer service issues.
  • Restock the counter area according to product organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage damaged products.
  • Maintain a tidy and appealing counter display.
  • Encourage the sale of additional products when appropriate.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications for a Successful Plumbing & HVAC Sales Associate:

  • Knowledge of products and technical aspects typically gained through two or more years of college or technical training, or 3-5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills across various formats (in-person, phone, and email).
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Active listening skills to accurately assess customer needs.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical capabilities.
  • High proficiency in computer usage, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work efficiently.
