Key Responsibilities of a Plumbing & HVAC Sales Associate:
- Act as the main point of contact for customer orders at the City Desk.
- Assist customers professionally with inquiries regarding products.
- Accurately process orders in a timely manner.
- Generate and follow up on customer quotations.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance.
- Collaborate with sales team members to resolve customer service issues.
- Restock the counter area according to product organization.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage damaged products.
- Maintain a tidy and appealing counter display.
- Encourage the sale of additional products when appropriate.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications for a Successful Plumbing & HVAC Sales Associate:
- Knowledge of products and technical aspects typically gained through two or more years of college or technical training, or 3-5 years of relevant field experience.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills across various formats (in-person, phone, and email).
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Active listening skills to accurately assess customer needs.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical capabilities.
- High proficiency in computer usage, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work efficiently.
