Position Overview

The main objective of this role is to acquire and enhance the competencies necessary for a Pharmacist. All tasks must be performed under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist, adhering to corporate policies and relevant laws.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Gather customer and prescription details, including refill requests, from clients and healthcare providers.
  2. Prepare and dispense customer prescriptions accurately.
  3. Provide assistance to customers regarding health-related inquiries and offer healthcare advice.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and utilize reference materials to address customer and prescription-related issues.
  5. Familiarize yourself with Rite Aid's computer systems; enter customer and prescription information accurately.
  6. Ensure efficient service in the Pharmacy department by assisting customers and managing the cash register.
  7. Stay informed about over-the-counter medications.
  8. Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  9. Help maintain an organized and clean Pharmacy department.
  10. Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and customer will-calls.
  11. Conduct quality assurance tasks in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  12. Follow the guidelines outlined in the Retail Hazardous Waste Program.

Required Qualifications

Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
