Job Summary

Mutual Housing is seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our affordable multifamily properties in Yolo County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of our properties, maintaining a supportive environment for residents, and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial management of the property, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain high occupancy levels and attract new residents.
  • Supervise and train on-site staff, including maintenance and porter personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including HUD, Fair Housing, and Section 504.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Perform regular property inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including weekly rental reports and market survey reports.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to develop and implement business plans and strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience in property management.
  • Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord and Tenant laws.
  • Experience generating property budgets and managing affordable housing developments.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relate well to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comprehend and communicate in the English language both orally and in writing.
  • Interpret and understand financial information generated from property management software reports.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
