Clinical Nutrition Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
- Serve as a nutritional expert and resource for the healthcare team.
- Deliver thorough nutritional support encompassing assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, care plan execution, counseling, education, and outcome evaluation for patients, families, and staff.
- Organize various educational initiatives and workshops focused on nutrition-related subjects.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a related discipline that fulfills the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, obtained through an accredited four-year Baccalaureate program and an advanced training program.
- A Master's degree or Advanced Practice Certification is preferred.
- Must possess a professional understanding of chemistry, physiology, caloric and nutrient values, and the physical characteristics of food, along with a grasp of medical nutrition therapy.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; familiarity with medical terminology; ability to follow oral and written instructions; capability to perform arithmetic calculations; strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Requires a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with medical professionals, nursing staff, patients, and their families.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentials from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
