Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Operations Supervisor to join our team at Concord Group Insurance. As a Claims Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities within an assigned Claims Division area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities within an assigned Claims Division area.
  • Involve the products or services of the Company by working individually or through associates.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of associates.
  • Assist management by supervising office/department activities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include but not limited to: Interviewing, training and developing associates and conducting performance reviews.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work to meet Company objectives and expectations.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Review the progress made in meeting objectives, analyze operating procedures and recommend improvements, when needed.
  • Regularly update management regarding the progress in meeting objectives and problems involving area activities or services.
  • Review files, documentation, and correspondence and respond appropriately.
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate adjuster's license(s) as required.
  • Demonstrate innovativeness and continually seek more efficient ways to process and handle work.
  • Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company-approved work location.
  • Travel, attend seminars, and attend other training classes as required.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Property and Casualty knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and react to documents such as insurance policies, procedure manuals, and legal documents.
  • Ability to assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions using sound reasoning and judgement.
  • Ability to communicate, in both oral and written formats, in a polite, clear, and accurate way.
  • Possess good problem resolution skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with a diverse group of individuals and manage varied factual circumstances.
  • Ability to carry out complex instructions and delegating work to associates when needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.
