Position Overview: The primary role of the Facilities Operations and Safety Supervisor is to ensure the continuous maintenance and safety of the hospital environment, both internally and externally. This includes overseeing repairs and enhancements to maintain the hospital's aesthetic and operational standards.
Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and laws, including but not limited to OSHA, DEA, and the Department of Labor.
Work Schedule: The work schedule will be determined by the hospital leadership and may require flexibility, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the hospital's safety coordinator.
- Conduct safety training for new hires.
- Perform regular safety inspections and meetings, documenting findings appropriately.
- Maintain a comprehensive safety maintenance binder.
- Oversee the hospital's hazard communication system.
- Develop and implement an emergency action plan.
- Manage the hospital's waste management protocols.
- Establish a radiation protection program.
- Implement an infection control strategy.
- Ensure new employees receive a safety handbook.
- Collaborate with the safety and compliance department to maintain a robust safety program.
- Act as the primary contact for safety training, incidents, and inspections, including monthly reporting.
- Ensure proper labeling of in-house chemicals and manage safety data sheets.
- Plan and schedule routine maintenance for various hospital facilities and equipment.
- Work with housekeeping to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee general maintenance tasks and inspections of the hospital premises.
- Coordinate with external vendors for timely repairs and maintenance.
- Manage supply runs as necessary.
- Ensure the upkeep of hospital equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within hospital areas to meet safety standards.
- Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and operational.
- Monitor and report on security system performance.
- Assist with animal handling when required.
- Ensure all tasks are completed with the highest quality standards.
- Perform any additional duties that support the hospital's mission.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
Salary Range: $20 to $25 per hour.
