Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and laws, including but not limited to OSHA, DEA, and the Department of Labor.

Work Schedule: The work schedule will be determined by the hospital leadership and may require flexibility, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the hospital's safety coordinator.
  • Conduct safety training for new hires.
  • Perform regular safety inspections and meetings, documenting findings appropriately.
  • Maintain a comprehensive safety maintenance binder.
  • Oversee the hospital's hazard communication system.
  • Develop and implement an emergency action plan.
  • Manage the hospital's waste management protocols.
  • Establish a radiation protection program.
  • Implement an infection control strategy.
  • Ensure new employees receive a safety handbook.
  • Collaborate with the safety and compliance department to maintain a robust safety program.
  • Act as the primary contact for safety training, incidents, and inspections, including monthly reporting.
  • Ensure proper labeling of in-house chemicals and manage safety data sheets.
  • Plan and schedule routine maintenance for various hospital facilities and equipment.
  • Work with housekeeping to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Oversee general maintenance tasks and inspections of the hospital premises.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Manage supply runs as necessary.
  • Ensure the upkeep of hospital equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within hospital areas to meet safety standards.
  • Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and operational.
  • Monitor and report on security system performance.
  • Assist with animal handling when required.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with the highest quality standards.
  • Perform any additional duties that support the hospital's mission.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

Salary Range: $20 to $25 per hour.
