Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee and vendor inquiries, ensuring prompt and courteous responses to a wide range of HR-related topics.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation and orientation sessions.
  • Oversee the annual performance evaluation cycle by organizing, scheduling, and processing necessary documentation and adjustments.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and handling separation documentation.
  • Administer the workplace safety program, including injury reporting and Workers' Compensation claims.
  • Collaborate with the HR Supervisor on various initiatives, such as developing job descriptions and establishing salary structures.
  • Handle unemployment claims and related administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both paper and electronic.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and assist in interpreting these policies for employees.
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics for monthly reporting, including turnover rates and employee statistics.
  • Complete mandatory compliance reports, such as EEO-1 forms and various audits, in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 2 to 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, particularly in performance management and employee relations.
  • Experience with benefits administration, payroll processing, and recruitment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with employment laws in New Hampshire and Massachusetts is essential, with a willingness to learn about other states.
  • HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems is required.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, are necessary, along with the ability to navigate web-based tools.
