CULTURAL RESOURCE ASSOCIATE – FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT / NORTHERN SERVICE CENTER / CULTURAL RESOURCES

This role operates under the supervision of the Senior State Archaeologist, contributing to archaeological research and cultural resource stewardship.

The Cultural Resource Associate engages in comprehensive archaeological assessments and cultural resource management initiatives. As a key member of a diverse team, the incumbent will be involved in various departmental projects and actions.

Responsibilities include the planning and execution of projects within the Northern Service Center, focusing on the identification, documentation, investigation, and safeguarding of archaeological and cultural assets. The position entails leading archaeological initiatives, preparing financial proposals, providing analytical data, and generating detailed reports.

The role requires the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and adapting to shifting demands. Fieldwork is a significant component of this position, necessitating travel for extended periods.

Training and Development opportunities may be available.

A valid California Class C Driver's license is required for this position.

This position is eligible for remote work arrangements.
