Job Title: Youth Care Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Care Coordinator to join our team at Esther's Home, a residential program for sex-trafficked youth. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

Job Summary

The Youth Care Coordinator will be responsible for providing comprehensive residential services to our residents, including meeting their basic needs, building trust and rapport, and fostering a trauma-informed, strengths-based environment. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week on Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am to 5:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Build trust and rapport with residents using a strengths-based approach and trauma-informed engagement practices.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff, partners, and volunteers to create a nurturing environment for residents.
  • Provide on-site resident supervision, support residents with crisis intervention and behavioral redirection.
  • Maintain awareness of resident whereabouts and complete related documentation.
  • Engage, support, and coach residents on healthy participation in the life of the home.
  • Model positive behavior, communication, and coping skills.
  • Work closely with the Case Manager and other professionals to keep track of individualized goals for each resident.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have the skills and ability to assist the needs of the clients.
  • Must have at least 6 months of similar work experience related to caring for vulnerable populations.
  • Must have an active and vital relationship with Jesus and be a part of a supportive faith community outside of Mirror Ministries.
  • Must agree with the Statement of Faith.
  • Must have reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Health and Human/Social Services or related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Social Services in the role of Advocate, Youth Counselor, or Case Manager with at-risk or vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledgeable about CSEC and complex trauma.
