Job Summary

Urgent Help Chelmsford PC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, to monitor patients' health.
  • Explain medical procedures and treatments to patients, ensuring they understand their care plan.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during exams and treatments, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to approved nursing techniques.
  • Document patient information, test results, and medication administration accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including drawing blood, and maintain equipment according to guidelines.
  • Order and stock supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and organized work area.
  • Respond to patient messages, documenting conversations in the electronic medical record system.
  • Rotate among various clinical services, including lab, nursing, and x-ray, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Manage difficult customer situations, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all interactions.
Requirements

To be successful as a Medical Assistant at Urgent Help Chelmsford PC, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands/Work Environment

This role requires regular standing and occasional walking. You will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles on occasion.
