Position Overview:

The role of the Educational Support Specialist involves assisting the classroom educator in delivering age-appropriate learning experiences tailored to the diverse developmental requirements of students, including those with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the classroom teacher in executing engaging learning activities that cater to both typical and atypical learners.
  • Provide assistance to English Language Learners (ELL) to facilitate their educational progress.
  • Implement behavior management strategies throughout the school day, ensuring consistent support for all students.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices.
  • Assist during school events such as field trips and emergency preparedness drills.
  • Help maintain classroom routines, including snack time, clean-up, and personal hygiene activities, which may involve supporting students with daily living skills.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications:

Applicants must have successfully completed the Paraprofessional assessment, possess at least 48 college credits, or hold a Bachelor's Degree (preferred). Experience working with the relevant age group is essential.
