Fulton Group N.A. is a multinational heating equipment manufacturer with market-leading products. We are seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team in Pulaski, NY.


Job Description:


The R&D Mechanical Engineer Intern will assist engineers in the development of new products, working as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. Tasks will be dependent on current projects at the time of the internship.


Responsibilities:



  • Prepare detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD electrical
  • Fabrication of new test articles and fixtures
  • Laboratory testing of prototypes and research equipment
  • Design prototypes and test equipment
  • Improve designs from a mechanical and manufacturability perspective
  • Usage and operation of a wide variety of hand tools and instruments
  • Perform calculations and troubleshooting to work out potential modifications, design changes, or modifications to malfunctioning systems.

Requirements:



  • Full-time enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. Mechanical engineering program, with 2 years completed.
  • Experience with 3D modeling programs such as Autodesk Inventor
  • Ability to work full-time hours during the internship
  • Strong communication, organizational, and independent judgment skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
