Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and continuous operation of our fleet by performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles.

A competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, is offered for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and CNG powered trucks, including engines, electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
  • Lead inspections of brake systems, all engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Prioritize repairs to maximize efficiency and timely completion of work orders.
  • Oversee the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedules.
  • Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
  • Complete reports, work orders, order parts, and perform other administrative duties as required.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in diesel/CNG maintenance, preferably in a fleet environment.
  • ASE Certifications preferred.
  • Ability to understand and interpret detailed schematics and manuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using diagnostic software and computer literate.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
