Position: In-Home Flooring Sales Specialist in the East Bay Area - Alameda County


*Candidates must reside within the designated area* *Preference will be given to East Bay Area locals*


Role Summary:

As an In-Home Sales Specialist, you will receive daily leads from clients who have specifically contacted us for new flooring solutions. Your role will involve visiting clients in their residences, evaluating the details of their projects, assisting them in product selection, providing detailed proposals, and closing sales on-site whenever feasible.


Note: Cold calling is NOT a requirement for this role.


Compensation Package:
  • Attractive starting base salary of $52,000, with bonuses and commissions available from day one.
  • With salary, bonuses, and commissions, new hires can earn between $70,000 - $95,000 annually.
  • Company vehicle, mobile phone, and tablet provided by S&G Carpet.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance.
  • Paid holidays, vacation time, and personal days.
  • Eligibility for 401K plan after one year of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Company in selling flooring solutions to new clients.
  • Assist clients with their flooring projects by assessing their needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Meet monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain a minimum number of appointments each week.
  • Document all sales activities and client information using specialized software.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring follow-through with all clients.
  • Participate in roadshows and address inquiries from potential clients.

Qualifications:

Applicants MUST possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Ability to effectively plan and organize your day for maximum productivity, including time for in-home consultations, proposal writing, follow-ups on unsold leads, and processing orders.
  • Strong motivation and capability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.
  • Excellent presentation and customer service skills are essential.
  • Proficient negotiation skills are required.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to meet sales quotas and deadlines while managing conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to seek relevant information for timely decision-making.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with the internet are necessary.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends during peak times.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
