GENERAL OVERVIEW:


The Inventory Allocation Specialist plays a crucial role in managing a variety of tasks, projects, and analytical functions to enhance preseason and in-season allocation strategies and initiatives for designated Regions/Stores/Product categories.

This position involves assessing overall sales performance and identifying emerging trends to provide recommendations for effective in-month receipt management. The Specialist offers weekly insights into current performance and trends to leadership. Furthermore, the Specialist investigates and addresses product-level inventory issues raised by stores.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the capability to work autonomously while delivering robust analytics, along with the ability to articulate and communicate conclusions and recommendations effectively.

Inventory Allocation Specialists engage in projects and assignments where the analysis of situations or data necessitates a comprehensive review of various factors.

Specialists must apply judgment to determine suitable actions to resolve a range of issues and foster productive internal/external working relationships.

In this capacity, Specialists are enhancing their professional knowledge and expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales, Inventory, and Receipt Management Analytics:
Facilitate the achievement of end-of-month inventory plans and strategic initiatives for assigned Regions/Stores/Product categories.
Monitor inventory levels in relation to sales trends across regions and stores.
Investigate and respond to inventory concerns raised by stores.
Develop and maintain Excel-based reports/tools.
Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.
Assist in the onboarding of new concepts with colleagues.

Effective Communication:
Ensure timely and efficient communication with internal and external business partners to inform and recommend allocation strategies and outcomes.
Provide weekly updates to Allocation leadership regarding results and inventory opportunities/risks, along with suggested actions to adapt to changing trends.
Present conclusions and recommendations in a clear, concise, and straightforward manner to business partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of Retail Math
  • Experience with retail software is a plus (JDA or other Allocation Software)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
This position requires the ability to work in an office environment, primarily utilizing a computer. Responsibilities include sitting, standing, walking, hearing, speaking on the phone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and handling paper/files, among other tasks. Consistent punctuality and regular attendance are essential.

Vision Requirements:
Ability to perceive information in print and/or electronically.

This role necessitates regular in-office presence for engaging in team interactions, meetings, collaboration, client support, and feedback. However, the responsibilities can be effectively performed through a combination of in-office and remote work.
