Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to assist and participate in the day-to-day activities and functions of our kitchen facilities, food items preparation and production in assigned sections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and participate in the day-to-day activities and functions of kitchen facilities, food items preparation and production in assigned sections.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Clean up stations and take care of leftover food.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.

Requirements

  • Attention to Detail: Kitchen supervisors must keep their eyes on a lot of elements, including food standards, costs, safety, and more.
  • Leadership: Kitchen supervisors must be leaders in the back of house, rallying their team during heavy shifts, resolving conflicts, and getting the job done.
  • Management Skills: Kitchen supervisors must deal with food, costs, pricing, creating work schedules, and more.
  • Organizational Skills: Keeping work schedules, shipments, cleaning schedules, and more organized is crucial to the job.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Being able to come up with a solution quickly is a needed skill.
  • Speaking Skills: Kitchen supervisors must accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders, and speak with staff clearly.
  • Stamina: Kitchen supervisors can expect long days around hot cooking elements, much of it on their feet.
