Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for a talented and driven Predictive Analytics Engineer with a focus on demand forecasting. This role is pivotal in enhancing our e-commerce platform, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive machine learning models and algorithms tailored for demand forecasting within TikTok's e-commerce logistics framework.
2. Gather, cleanse, and preprocess extensive datasets to guarantee data integrity and relevance for forecasting tasks.
3. Collaborate with data scientists and domain specialists to grasp business needs, pinpoint key demand influencers, and integrate pertinent features into forecasting models.
4. Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights into demand trends, patterns, and seasonal variations affecting consumer behavior.
5. Construct scalable data pipelines to automate data processing, model training, and prediction workflows.
6. Assess and refine the performance of existing time series forecasting models, proposing enhancements or alternative strategies to boost accuracy and reliability.
7. Work alongside software engineers to embed machine learning models into production systems, ensuring timely and dependable forecast delivery.
8. Monitor model performance, detect anomalies, and devise proactive strategies to mitigate potential forecasting errors or biases.
9. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and demand forecasting methodologies, applying this knowledge to elevate team capabilities.
10. Effectively communicate findings and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative, data-driven decision-making environment.

Qualifications:
1. A Master's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience as a Predictive Analytics Engineer or Data Scientist, specializing in demand forecasting and supply chain optimization.
3. Strong command of machine learning methodologies, including time series forecasting, regression, classification, and clustering.
4. Familiarity with big data processing on cloud platforms and deploying machine learning models at scale.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of delivering impactful solutions in dynamic settings.
6. Strong communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
7. Experience in the e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain sectors is advantageous.
8. Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
