Job Overview

Position Objective:

The Post-Closing Specialist is tasked with the meticulous examination of finalized loan documentation and collateral records to guarantee the bank's security interests while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive daily shipments from various branches, title agencies, and legal firms.
  • Assess consumer, commercial, and diverse loan documentation for original materials and accurately log them into the departmental database.
  • Conduct a thorough Post Closing Checklist review to confirm receipt of all original documents.
  • Digitize received documents into the bank's software system and update records for any missing or trailing documents.
  • Generate collateral file labels for newly reviewed loans.
  • Organize and distribute tax certificates and floor plan titles purchased by customers.
  • Maintain an exception tracking report and collaborate with lending personnel to resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee and process all collateral requests through the designated Post Loan Closing Group email.
  • Issue releases of collateral for previously settled legacy loans or as directed by lending personnel.
  • Prepare closing and release packages for customers regarding settled loans.
  • Update and maintain paid loan data on tracking spreadsheets.
  • Provide release and paid documentation to third-party mortgage servicing vendors.
  • Audit loan files to ascertain eligibility for pledging to the Federal Reserve Bank or Federal Home Loan Bank, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
  • File UCC documents and record trailing materials for non-title company closings through various service providers.
  • Conduct audits of boarded loan packages and collateral documents to ensure compliance with bank policies.
  • Audit and process payments for third-party loan-related invoices.
  • Assist in data collection and reporting for commercial loan support initiatives and audits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required; some college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in handling commercial loan documentation and collateral is essential.
  • Familiarity with FIS, nCino, Simplifile, and CT Lien Solutions is highly advantageous.

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.91 to $24.04, based on various factors including education, work experience, and certifications.
