Job Summary

Care Inc is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Foundation Partnerships team as Senior Director of Development. This is a unique opportunity to drive business growth, develop strategic partnerships, and contribute to the organization's mission of saving lives, defeating poverty, and achieving social justice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy to expand Care Inc's professional foundations portfolio, focusing on health equity and climate justice.
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure new funding opportunities with foundations, collaboratives, social enterprise investors, and institutional funders.
  • Manage concept and proposal development for new and assigned foundations, working closely with program and country office colleagues to generate compelling propositions.
  • Provide surge support during crises, conflicts, and complex emergencies, and represent Care Inc with external audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong internal partnerships across the organization, collaborating with program teams, leadership, and other stakeholders to support fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, International Development, or a related field.
  • At least eight years of progressive experience in fundraising, resource mobilization, program implementation, program management, or field work.
  • Expertise in foundation philanthropy, with a track record of identifying opportunities, soliciting donors, and securing grant funding.
  • Deep knowledge of international development, particularly in the health and climate sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with experience working as part of a remote team.
  • Ability to facilitate internal decisions across multiple stakeholders and represent Care Inc with external audiences.
