Job Summary:

As an Inventory Controller at Restaurant Depot, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of physical inventory at the branch. This includes using a scan gun to move merchandise and obtain information needed, making decisions on pricing, and ensuring gross margins are maintained. You will also communicate margin issues to buyers and follow up for timely responses. Additionally, you will review sales price differential reports to determine if front-end pricing is accurate and make the necessary changes.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the accuracy of physical inventory at the branch

Use a scan gun to move merchandise and obtain information needed

Make decisions on pricing and ensure gross margins are maintained

Communicate margin issues to buyers and follow up for timely responses

Review sales price differential reports to determine if front-end pricing is accurate and make the necessary changes

Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of experience in retail or wholesale

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Background in physical inventory maintenance/control

Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise and direct employees

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors, customers, and the buying department

Work Environment:

For the most part, the ambient temperature will be moderate, but you will need to perform inventory in refrigerated areas and freezers. There will be industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) moving material throughout the warehouse.
