Job Summary

Brady Industries is seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to partner with our supply chain, transportation, and sales teams to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in inventory management or purchasing, with strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and adjust large sales orders as needed
  • Review and resolve backorders
  • Communicate special-order status to stakeholders
  • Manage the sales support intake process for inventory inquiries, market intelligence, and supplier issues
  • Partner with operations to manage emergency need intake, order fulfillment, and communication
  • Manage priority inbound purchase orders with operations support
  • Collaborate with accounts payable on supplier receiving discrepancies
  • Manage customer return intake processing
  • Partner with operations on over, short, and damaged receiving

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in inventory management or purchasing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, detail-oriented, critical analysis, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to professionally interact with internal and external partners
  • Good analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments and prioritize workflow with some supervision
  • Understanding of the Purchasing Module of all applicable ERP systems preferred
