Inventory Management Specialist

This role is responsible for managing inventory for assigned departments or clinical programs. The successful candidate will ensure that medical products, linen, and equipment are stocked and ready for clinical use.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inventory control on stock and non-stock items, setting par levels and adjusting to trends.
- Order and deliver supplies for assigned departments, facilities, or clinical programs using appropriate technology and systems.
- Process documents related to receiving and shipping, ensuring prompt and accurate computer input and filing.
- Communicate supply levels, new products, and standardization to relevant department staff, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Restock supplies in identified storage locations, considering shelf life and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor quantity on hand issues, reconciling and resolving discrepancies.
- Utilize the SCIS system to manage distribution, inventory, receiving, and departmental files, ensuring compliance with auditing and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with policy and standard operating procedures.
- Research and resolve SCIS-related problems, coordinating with stakeholders and the SCO Business Applications Team.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports for assigned locations.
- Assist with and oversee inventory management processes, such as cycle counting and PDA Relief inventory process.
- Support Intermountain Healthcare's Supplier Standards.
- Understand and apply Supply Chain standard operating procedures.
- Clean, track, and test patient mobile medical equipment.
- One year of related Materials Management experience or six months in the Inventory Specialist II title with completion of the established career progression program.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and speak English clearly, follow verbal and written instructions, and understand customer communications.
- Experience using basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, email, and scheduling applications.
- Experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
- Demonstrated ability to visually inspect boxes, packing slips, computed reports, and like objects.
- Demonstrated ability to use a pallet jack and other materials handling equipment.
- Experience in a role working with healthcare supplies.
- One year of healthcare-related distribution experience.
- Speaking, hearing/listening, seeing, manual dexterity, climbing, lifting, walking, standing, pulling/pushing, carrying.
