Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Program Coordinator I to join our team at the Medical University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating research studies in the Emergency Medicine department, ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and screen study participants according to inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Perform clinical assessments and safety evaluations as required by study protocols
  • Schedule study participants and research personnel for study visits
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of research services and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage costs, quality of care, and outcomes by controlling supply use and avoiding unnecessary tests and procedures
  • Assist physicians in developing research protocols and implementing new research projects
  • Monitor and track enrollment for clinical trials
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • One year of relevant program experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with research personnel, study participants, and healthcare professionals. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
