Senior Microelectronics Product Area Director

BAE Systems USA is seeking an experienced leader to join our Microelectronics (μE) product line as the Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) Product Area Director. This role will lead our MMIC Product Area, developing and delivering custom microelectronics products that provide unparalleled performance and capabilities for warfighters supporting various missions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the MMIC and Power Amplifier design Product Area program teams through all phases of the lifecycle with profit & loss accountability.
- Manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute projects or collections of projects, ensuring achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives.
- Provide proactive cross-function leadership of a key strategic portfolio to achieve customer commitments and business growth expectations.
- Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio, leading by example to deliver program performance excellence and quality microelectronics products in volume.
- Execute using Earned Value Management techniques and other analytical industry best practices.
- Communicate effectively and work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results.
- 12+ years' work experience with Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in program or capture management and/or with functional activities related to the program lifecycle, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years work experience in microelectronics custom IC product development and production delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in building customer and supplier relationships, leading customer interactions and discussions of a technical and/or strategic nature.
- Ability to understand customers' needs and objectives.
- Ability to lead complex teams that are distributed across geographic locations in a borderless fashion.
- Financial management expertise and experience executing to revenue and profit targets.
- Personnel leadership and management of a diverse, cross-functional team.
