Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electrical systems for defense products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in translating system requirements into compliant complex printed board assembly designs.
- Conduct technical trade studies, evaluate technology insertion/upgrades, laboratory test and troubleshooting.
- Integrate and evaluate hardware module performance using simulation tools and prototype hardware in a laboratory environment.
- Create design documentation and verification test procedures.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with product development and support of electronics equipment.
- Solid fundamentals of digital/analog/power/mixed signal electronics and interface/communication standards.
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing and test methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing compact embedded systems for harsh environments.
- Familiar with electrical engineering design, schematic capture and analysis tools.
- Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with printed board assembly (PBA, PCB) design using Cadence tools.
- Familiarity with AS9145 compliant processes.
- Experience with FPGA designs.
- Experience with Electronic Warfare systems or high power RF software defined radio (SDR) hardware.
- Experience with radar systems.
- Local Power Supply Design.
- Knowledge of memory interfaces such as DDR, QSPI.
- Knowledge of data transfer protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, JESD 204, I2C, JTAG.
- Control account management experience.
- Active DOD security clearance.
